An Orthoceras is a fossil Nautiloid Cephalopod from the Paleozoic era of 370 million years ago. They lived in the ocean and hunted anything from trilobites to plankton.

This ancient fossil gem is from my stash collected over 30 years ago traveling Asia and Europe.
I have set it into a handcrafted sterling silver minimalist pendulum style setting.
The setting and the generous 50cm double link curb chain have been oxidised to compliment the natural black and white tones of the gem. Making it a perfect length for layering.
